Technology Support

This group is responsible for the open-use student computer labs, virus protection, quality assurance, and creation of technical procurement specifications.

The Computer Labs maintained by Technology Support offer a wide assortment of applications for student use.  These labs are open extended hours (as late as 2:00am), and at least one of the labs is open every day of the year.

Virus Protection software is maintained by Support and Operations.  Upon connection to the UCO network, policies are in place to ensure that all UCO computers are protected.

Quality Assurance is our commitment to providing our customers with reliable service and support.  We strive to achieve efficient and economical  solutions utilizing state-of-the-art technology.

Procurement Specifications for technologies implemented at the University are reviewed by the Technology Support team.  When requested, this team also assists in the development of specifications and engages vendors to seek out the appropriate solution to a need.

In addition to the areas listed above, this group is also responsible for work orders escalated from the Help Desk.
