Web Team
The University of Central Oklahoma Information Technology Web Team includes
the Web Services Manager, the Content Administrator, the Portal Administrator, and
student Web
Assistants. This team works in coordination with other web staff in
departments, colleges & areas across campus. Web services offered include:
- The technical support of the web server(s).
- Updates software installation and support/maintenance of web server(s).
- Assists in obtaining and preparing resources for integrating into web
site.
- Researches and recommends additional capabilities for the web site.
- Makes designs decisions utilizing strong knowledge of security issues,
balancing safety with accessibility.
- Implement proprietary communication protocol (knowledge of HTTP, TCP/IP
essential).
- Promptly identify, respond to, and resolve day-to-day concerns.
- Develops tools for the web page developers to use (such as generic form
mail script, etc.)
- Creates and coordinates testing of new and existing applications on the
web site.
- Provides programming to produce web site management reports.
- Provides support and troubleshoots web related problems.
- Works closely with IT staff to integrate systems.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor, Vice President for Information
Technology or his/her designee, and/or President.
Mr. Darren Denham, Content Administrator
Primary responsibility is to manage the content for
university web pages and general university portal content. Implements,
configures and maintains content management system linked to University
websites. Ensures that websites are available to the desired audience using
appropriate architecture, links, and security. Researches and evaluates new and
related technologies. Works under the general direction of the Web Services
Manager. Is responsible for supporting and executing responsibilities
in managing and maintaining published content over University Internet, extranet
and intranet websites. Content management goal is to increase usage and value
provided to client-base (internal and external) through the websites published.
- Provide day-to-day operational and administrative support for the (CMS)
Content Management System.
- Maintenance of Channels.
- Allocation of responsibilities for content to users.
- Guide authors in preparing content and using concepts and formats
designed for Web presentation and delivery.
- Provide limited first-level support along with extensive second-level
technical support for the content management services.
- Assist with development of a plan for empowerment of users,
user-friendly training and support documentation.
- Assist with the development of a CMS scope and vision.
- Liaise with University personnel to improve the University’s digital
presence and usability including navigation and creating a customer centric
web experience.

Mr. Bradly Stitt, Portal Administrator
Primary responsibility is to provide operational and
administrative support for the university portal consisting of web, calendar,
email, directory, chat, message board, application and database services. Works
under the general direction of the Web Services Manager.
- Provide day-to-day operational and administrative support for the
university portal (consisting of web, calendar, email, directory, chat,
message board, application and database services).
- Install, configure, monitor, patch, tune, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair
and support the portal services to maintain system availability.
- Develop written procedural documentation.
- Provide limited first-level support along with extensive second-level
technical support for the portal services.
- Participate in the planning, design and implementation of both upgrades
and enhancements to the existing infrastructure as well as new or
replacement systems as necessary.
- Execute projects to enhance or expand the portal in order to increase
its effectiveness in serving the university community.
- Work in cooperation with other Information Technology staff to integrate
systems.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor, Vice President for Information
Technology or his/her designee, and/or President.
Student Web Assistants
Primary responsibility is support of web team. Works
under the general direction of the Web Services Manager.
